My Journey into Bodywork
MY UNEXPECTED PATH
From drilling rigs to healing hands
I didn’t grow up imagining I’d become a therapist. I was a sensitive kid who didn’t thrive in school, but I was always physically active. When it came to work, I naturally gravitated toward manual jobs. My first career was in land drilling — high-adrenaline, physically demanding, and all about endurance, strength, and toughness.
For a while, I could keep up. But underneath, something didn’t sit right. I felt a growing sense of stuckness — like the life I was living didn’t match the person I was inside.
Eventually, I listened to that feeling. I took off on a solo motorbike trip to Portugal. I wasn’t looking for answers, just space. Time to breathe. That journey brought me a sense of clarity. I didn’t return with a plan, but I felt lighter and more open.
THE TURNING POINT
The moment something shifted
Back in Brighton, I ran into an old friend who’d retrained as a massage therapist. We were standing outside her training school when she told me about it — and something just clicked. I signed up for an open day there and then. Afterwards, I sat in a café across the street, and something in me shifted. I felt emotional, like I’d let go of something heavy I’d been carrying.
MY HANDS TELL THE STORY
“My hands have been a visible metaphor for my own transformation”.
I started with holistic massage — learning how to work with people in an intuitive, grounded way. But many of my clients came with chronic tension, pain, or injury, and I knew I wanted to go deeper. I went on to complete a degree in Sports Therapy, bringing together the clinical with the emotional, the physical with the nervous system.
My hands tell the story. Once rough and calloused from drilling into the earth, they’ve softened — not in strength, but in sensitivity and responsiveness. They’ve become tools for listening, not forcing. I began to notice what the body holds: stress, emotion, memory — sometimes long after the mind has forgotten. Clients would arrive anxious, in pain, unable to sleep. Often they’d leave feeling clearer, calmer, more connected to themselves.
What I Offer Now
What I offer now is more than just massage. It’s physical therapy, but it’s also nervous system regulation. Breathwork. A chance to return to the body. I don’t claim to fix people; instead, I create the conditions for their systems to reset, to let go, to remember what balance feels like.
I work best with people who are ready to take part in their own recovery. They want to meet themselves in a new way — to work with the body, not against it.
I’m integrating breathwork more and more into my practice and dream of building a space that brings together movement coaches, physiotherapists, and other bodyworkers.
My Services
-
Physical Therapy (MSc)
Combining clinical knowledge with a grounded, intuitive approach, I work to resolve pain, restore mobility, and help your body remember how to move freely again.
-
Breathwork
I use breathwork to support physical healing, emotional release, and deep rest — helping you tap into the body's natural ability to regulate and restore.
-
Holistic Massage
Holistic massage is a chance to slow down, reconnect, and be met exactly as you are — physically, emotionally, and energetically.
Men’s Circles: The Wildman Project
I also host men’s groups with The Wild Man Project. Through my own journey, I noticed many men feeling disconnected from themselves and the world around them.
These groups offer a space to reclaim masculinity, reconnect with nature, and rediscover the power of brotherhood.

Looking Ahead
My practice continues to evolve. I’m weaving more breathwork into sessions, and I hope to one day build a collaborative space where therapists, movement specialists, and coaches can work together.
This path hasn’t just been a career change — it’s been a return to myself. A softening. And now, I have the privilege of supporting others on their journey home too.
